Which is the best paint for the job please

Hi All. Being new to decorating a layout, instead of just playing about with trains I have got to get my finger out!My Arthritis is getting worse, it was bad enough when it was in my knees now it is in my hands. I may have to purchase already painted figures, meanwhile I will have to have a go at DIY painting, and I will? Have to move away from £1.00 shop brushes, please advise. For my shopping list that is brushes, paint, is the paint possible to wash with water, rather than solvents. Best wishes Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Vallejo acrylic paint and a set of decent small brushes, sable or equivalent. Plus a small 6 well plastic mixing tray. They dry without streaking or masking details. Dilute with thinner to increase transparency. Maximum dilution with water should be 10% or less.
