It looks good, Ron.  Did you win?

What was your construction method?

It's not been judged yet!
Traditional methods, cardboard lathes with Plaster bandage and the river bed was made from some plaster of paris which had set in the bag looking like rocks and rubble!!

Hi Ron,

Looks good. Is this supposed to be a Warren type truss bridge, or are the sides meant to be barriers and just stop things falling off? As this is O scale how about some plates and rivet heads or bolts/nuts/washers (if you have time).

Hi Ron,

Definitely a Warren Truss design (even though you freelanced it). Might be called something else where you are. All those metal framing girders (or wood) are designed to prevent deflection of the deck on which the track sits by resisting the downward forces when a train is crossing. Wivets (metal) and NBWs (wood) may just get you the podium. If metal construction some gusset plates as well (that get's you the golden spike).

Well you live and learn Nigel, it's a wooden, laser cut bridge so I can escape without rivets!
Thanks
Ron

Come  on now Ron That's not the winning attitude !   All you need is a pair of tweezers, magnifying glass and a bag of rivets, It will be. . . . . . . . .  Riveting !!   :mutley        7mm narrow gauge, is that a smallbrook kit or scratch built ?  I've got some smallbrook kits to build, I took one out of the bag last week to see where I could fit a decoder. .. then quietly put it back in the bag for next week. . . or the week after. ..  mebbe the week after that   :hmm

Yes Matt, a Smallbrook conversion.  I have 2 loco's and a few wagons so far but I don't have room for a layout as yet.I have an OO gauge layout,Sheringbourne and a US HO layout called Rush City yard filling my shed!!

Decisions decisions!!
