Hello
Hi AllMy name is Roger Hendey.
I live just north of Brisbane in Australia, having emigrated from England almost 30 years ago.
I am now retired and am building an OO/HO scale model railway (British, of course) in a spare room.
I am a member of the BRMA (British Railway Modellers of Australia) and our area group meets once a month.
I am also a member of MERG and we have quite a small but active local “cell,†again meeting every month.
I am very new to electronics and am struggling quite a bit at the moment. It’s a very steep learning curve for me.
I find that the instructions that come with the kits are good, but for someone with so little experience they are considerably enhanced by reading articles (with the all-important photographs) which are posted on the many and various model railway websites around the world, not least YMRC.
I look forward to “meeting†you all, albeit electronically, and sharing experience and knowledge.

Welcome to the Club.
Most electronic additions are plug and play, especially when it comes to DCC operations. Not my field either, but if it's not clear then the instructions need rewriting.
