00 gauge layout
Hi Guys, think this new section is a great idea. So here is my layout , a 5 ft by 1 ft plank and its been great fun to operate. It's DCC by the way , my first DCC layout.I'm thinking of adding another 5 ft section turning it into and L shaped plank that will be end to end, station to station, admittedly small ones. It will represent the branch line platform of a mainline station running to the branch terminus. I'll post the plan later.

Very nice layout I like the trackplan, good for lots of complex and interesting shunting being able to get to both ends of a train with the run around.
Fair play to you.

Hi again Chris,Wonderful layout. Congrats. :doublethumb Can I borrow a few ideas ? Do you have a track plan ? Thanks
If you need to see the track plan for Tim's plank, then take a look at the overall photo in the very first post above, as Tim hasn't posted on this forum for almost 3 years, so may not get back to you any day soon.
For ideas on track plans, have a look at those on the following link: Free Track Plans - Layout Plans - FreeTrackPlans.com
You can look at the narrow layouts for planks, like 10 x 2 Kingscote for example. All the layout plans are available to download as an 'AnyRail' file, which you can edit to suit your requirements.

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)
