Hi,

Whilst tackling some of the electrics on the layout at the moment I turned my attention to potential layout lighting.

I spotted some tall lattice framed yard lights ( ideal for a large yard area ) on a website ( forgotten the name already) but they were not in stock and made to order.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good site for the above type of lights.
I have looked further but most are supplying the run of the mill lamppost type. I would like to portray a more industrial feeling.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Toto.

You may be thinking of yard lamps available from MSE:

http://www.modelsignals.com/4mm_scale_frame.htm

It's a bit of an eye test but the lamp is LS002.  No picture.

I made a bunch for my last layout:

The lamp is just to the right of the loco.

Hi John,

I saw these, they are between 11 and 13 cm tall. The other lamps I was looking for were  240 cm tall and were more of a general security type.
They were on a steel lattice type upright. In saying that the version I looked at might have been to modern for a early sixties layout so I may be better opting for the type you have illustrated. They are more in keeping with the period.

240cm!  That's 600 feet!  I suspect you mean 24cm.
