Inspiration From Millport Victoria

I am sure we all have a model railway layout that we have seen in either a magazine or at a show or even on t'internet.

Well this is my inspiration, Millport Victoria built by Wigan Finescale Railway Modellers. I saw at an exhibition at Preston many years ago and was drawn by its fine buildings and the track pointwork which looked superb. It has been featured twice in RM.

Unfortunately it is in dock for a major overhaul and conversion to DCC, however follow this link and see how they are progressing and hopefully you will get an idea of why its my inspiration.

I seem to remember seeing some of it so maybe I did see it in RM.

It's looking at stuff like that that fires us up to try and do better with our own modelling.
