Hello everybody.
My name is Martin. I Live in Mid Devon, just yards away from the old track bed of the Culm Valley Line. I am a member of the Culm Valley Model Railway Club and have to N gauge layouts and I am in the process of completely rebuilding my OO Gauge layout which will be Southern Region, but as it will be permanently based at home, rule number 1 will apply

Hi Martin,

Welcome. By bizarre chance I was reading about the Culm Valley Railway not 2hr ago while researching some new plans. Nice part of the world not far from my home county Somerset.

Regards,

Colin

Hello Martin and welcome to YMRC.

I have find memories of Devon from my childhood, where I was schooled at Tavistock and enjoyed the freedom of Dartmoor and the remains of the Princetown branch.

Have a look round, settle in, pull up a chair and come chat soon.

Best,

Bill

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Welcome aboard from another SR fan.  In my case partly arising from having had family working at Wadebridge shed many years ago.

Good to have you here.

As you've already invoked Rule 1 and are blatantly waving your modeller's licence around, can we look forward to seeing your depiction of an enormous SR freight depôt anytime soon?

Once again, welcome and have fun.

Hi Martin, Welcome. Two N gauge layouts sounds like some sort of medieval torture, I confess to having given up on N after some 35 years and starting my 1st OO layout, so far so good  :)

Welcome from me, another Martin, who also lives in mid-Devon!
I've just joined this club, having returned to model railways after a 60 year absence! I'm getting into OO gauge, DCC, and ECoS, so should be a brain-strainer. I've built the 'shed', now I have to start the layout!
Small steps!

Welcome to the club, Martin, and back to the hobby after quite a time.  You must be aware of how much has changed.  Glad you are taking the DCC route…. I will follow along with interest.

Many thanks for the invitation, Martin. As I have to ferry relatives to Tivvy Parkway that afternoon I'll do my best to pop in. Impressive club website. Hope to meet you there, or, if not, at least some of the other members.

I won't be there on Sunday Martin, but my dad may be there and the others know that there is a chance you will be coming along. Hope you get the chance to go as Tiverton Junction is fabulous
