Hi everyone,
I am now resident in Telford having moved here from Ashton-under-Lyne.

I model in N-gauge and am starting to rebuild the layout transported from my last home. The layout is based on the railways of Hereford.

Best wishes

Roger

Hello and welcome Roger,

I hope your layout survived the journey without too many worries and we're looking forward to learning more of your railway.

Best,

Bill

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Welcome to the club Roger - looking forward to seeing your layout.  Do you have any photos of it when installed in Ashton-under-Lyne ?

Like michael (Headmaster), I too am impressed by those who can model in "N" Gauge - I struggle at times with "OO" so heaven knows how you manage at half the size …………………but then you do get twice as much in for your given space…….

I have quite a few photos from the past and some written articles about the construction of the  model of Hereford Station. Some of these could be shared most easily by linking to my blog. Would that be acceptable here?

Some members do indeed link to blogs Roger and it may be that's the easiest thing for you to do.

Quite how many would go there rather than see the photos on here is another question …………………

As a first stab at sharing pictures. Back in 2003 I started converting the vicarage attic, building an insulated room and wiring up electrics. By 2004, I had started to make baseboards. All were constructed with a view to getting them in and out of the loft.
The pictures on this link to Google Photos show things in 2005. ….

Some baseboards are in place with some track laid. The station layout is beginning to come together and a dumbbell shaped fiddleyard in place. Bookshelves under the layout were coming together as well.

Hi Roger

Welcome to YMR from Vancouver. I hope that, over time, you have as much fun and make as many internet friends as I have.

I look forward to seeing your layout develop as you settle into your new home.
