OK they're tanks but the weather is the same

Coming from the world of military modelling i would say we are supreme at weathering and detailing, well i would wouldn't i.

Below is a you tube link to a load of vids on weathering and detailing that will give you a great insight into the techniques of air brushing, washing, dry brushing, rust etc.

Yes they are in japanese but i can assure you will get a lot from them even how to do a shell hole. Be patient they are lengthy and detailed but watch the model develop.

Yep - here too.  "Not available" Pete :cry::cry::cry::cry:

I'd agree that military modellers seem to be way ahead of railway modellers when it comes to weathering.  Maybe it's that their subject just isn't right unless it's well weathered whereas with ours, we can get away just by using good scenery……..:roll::roll:

There are some quite watchable YouTube vids by Humbrol on how to use their weathering powders.
