Plus a challenges

G'day again,

Over the last couple of days I did some weathering on some locos for Lampwick Lane, two of which feature in the Lampwick Lane post: http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=15073&forum_id=21
The weathering looks great on these locos and I will put a few photos up of them when a crew, fire irons, lamps etc have been fitted. However, a couple of problems/challenges have come up:

• Stupidly I didn't mask up the cab windows before weathering thinking I would have enough control with the airbrush and I mostly did, however, I did get a little bit of paint on the larger cab windows of the GWR 64xx and when I noticed this I did the more stupid thing of trying to get the paint of with a cotton wool bud and thinners and turps. This of course made the windows frost up and make them look like they have iced over- something that would never happen in a steam locomotive cab. So how do I get rid of the frosting? Or do I just completely replace the glazing, if so How do I do it and where do I get new stuff from?

• The second thing isn't so much of the challenge, out of the 4 locos (64xx, LMS 3F Jinty, 1F and Webb Coal Tank) 3 of them have obvious places to put the fire irons: either on the tank sides or rear of the coal bunker. This is except for the Coal Tank, being a GWR and SR modeller I don't own many LMS books and the ones I do own are usually in BR days and rarely feature these locos. So where did the crew store these tools, am I right in saying on the tank sides?

Hi Connor. I have had a thorough look at the interweb it appears from photos and videos posted of engines on preserved lines that tools are stored on the top of the right hand tank ( when looking forward). Hope this helps
