Getting ready for a Proto Show.

I've not yet received this car yet, (promised delivery, next Wed, 27th.) car number 132503, but it must be ready to go by August3rd, when I fly to St.Louis, MO and display it at the 2011 ST. Louis Railroad Prototype Modeler's Meet.

I will be documenting it with many photos and descriptions of the processes I use to do something like this. First picture is the Atlas O Scale car.

The proto.

If I had more time and money I probably would change the wheels as well.   A P:48 set of wheels was intended, but
the stock Atlas 2 Rail wheels will have to do.

Especially in the PW forum about hand laid pointwork & crossings.
There are scattered throught the world, master modellers in trackwork. ( Just like many other aspects of the hobby)

That's a very good model.
The only difference I can see from the prototype is the dimension of the over bogie struts.

I received the model two days ago and today was the first time that I had time to start the process.

Taking it apart was a learning process. There was no other way at my disposal other than breaking it down. That center band is going to be much easier with out the bits on top.

These are the Bogies that will be on the beast. $65 or almost 40 Pounds Sterling @ today's rate. The car was only $55!!!

I apologize for the quick post. I'm somewhat pressed for time and wanted to show what was going on.
