Thanks for those GW Prototype photos David, particularly the China Clay Wagons. I was on the point of searching for some  pictures of them so that's saved me a job. :thumbs

Hi David and many thanks again.

I don't suppose you happen to have, or could point me to, any pictures of the covers for the China Clay wagons as used in GWR days. From what I have gathered they were pale blue but I haven't identified what, if any, logos were on them.

Hi Trevor,
unfortunately the only photo of a sheeted wagon I have, has a modern tarp so no use to you whatever.
You may have already come across this site http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/gansg/9-loads/9-tarps.htm Although it only mentions china clay in passing the general notes about stencilling may be of help.
I do remember reading somewhere that GWR tarps for china clay were black or dark grey and that it was ECC that had the blue ones.
Sorry I can't be of anymore help.
Cheers

Thanks David.

Yes I've already looked at that site and it does provide some useful pictures for modelling wagon sheets in general, but not the specifics I'm looking for.

Thanks anyway.

Regards,
Trevor
