What a transformation Peter.
We have had our rain but now it is just constant strong and cold northerly winds.
I have given up the olive tree pruning for a few days as it is not nice.
Still it has given me a bit more time to 'play' in the model room. Every cloud.

I do enjoy the occasional drop of liquid Derek - but not in the form of sunshine !!!

Pruning olive trees Gary ?  Do you grow them commercially or just as "trees" ?  When we had our holiday house in Turkish Cyprus before we moved here, the olive harvest out there was quite a festive event…………… :cool wink

You seem to have gotten away lightly Petermac. Most of the Midlands and North of England is still under water. Feet deep in places

Yes Mick but when we moved here, we were led to believe that south west France was wall to wall sunshine 24/7........................

That's quite a water feature you have put in Peter.  Beats my pile of pots with a trickle of water.

I hope it isn't causing you problems, though and that everyone is safe.

Note yet again the maps given are a lie in favour of their objective of abandoning the broads..
 If you look at the first map, where it says settlements, it's missed off all the villages that would be under water. Sea Palling, Waxham, Hickling, Horsey, Potter Heigham, and many others..

Oh my village is on one of the green future Island bits… also missed off the map..
 

Hi Peter and sorry for the delay in replying. I have been off line for a few days!!
I am now well back into the pruning of the olive trees now the winds have dropped and it has turned a bit warmer. I have my land and two other large plots that I manage so it is a full time job as you can imagine.
For tax reasons, you understand, I do not do it commercially but I have in total about 500 olive trees and around 100 almond trees.
A lot of work but I do enjoy the challenges.
The last seasons harvest was a flop due to the high winds and rain and I just gave up due to most of the olives being on the ground.
Fingers crossed for a better season this year.
