A forum about the forum.

I have a question about the working of the forum, but can't find a space that seems entirely appropriate.

It isn't a management announcement about the forum, neither is it related to computer software such as track planning or simulation….

Is there space for a sub-section containing those types of questions, or is the advice simply 'PM an admin'?

David.

That's what I thought. Perhaps the admins could reveal if they get the same FAQs on a regular basis (which a repository would reduce) or only infrequently.

PS The original question was: "How big is a personal inbox?"

Ah! Maybe if I look a little harder, I'll find the appropriate space filed under 'Other Areas > Suggestions, Problems and Questions….

Too right.

I admin a couple of Farcebook groups.  One is large and growing fast.  So after more than 100 applications today alone to join I then receive a message along the lines of "Mate you gotta change the code on your backend coz there's questions we can't answer to get in".

D'oh.

Those questions are there to sort the reasonably interested from the spammers, bots, trolls, serial group-joiners, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all.  And Facebook does not offer an option to modify any code at any point.

No I'm not a techie.  Far from it.  All I have to do is keep a watching brief on content and approve or decline membership applications.  It still takes half an hour out of every day.
