The only problem is, prices will go up now ………………….a bit like the "Delia effect" at Sainsbury's when she did her cookery programmes.

A more apt analogy than you imagine Peter…. one of the Hairy Bikers has spoken of taking up the hobby in lockdown…. making grass out of Teddy Bear fur….

More people means better margins and hopefully sets up a failing business like Hornby in to the future….

Hopefully it will only effect train sets, if it does happen.  It's a tricky thing for the business….. it would be great if the new modellers stuck with it (I know of three new modellers who are absolutely bitten by it all.  And not old like me, but young like you Chris!) I'm desperately trying to get my Head of DT to take it up, as he has access to 3D printers and laser cutters!  And, better still, knows how to use them!  It's a darn thing, but they are in constant use by pupils….. I shall have to do something about that!

Subtle threats can often work too - I wonder, does he realise just how many recently qualified DT teachers are currently looking for a job ? Oh yes, another thing to drop into that conversation, not only are they armed with all the very latest skill sets but probably on a much lower pay scale too……………………….just saying Mr Chips….. err sorry, I mean Mr Hilton  :roll:
