If I had money I’d buy...

Bit of fun speculation!

I spend a lot of time looking at what I’d like for Teasel Bay and then realise I can’t afford it and buy a tree….! Haha.
My question for fun is, if you could buy anything for your layout (money no object) what would it be?

I’d buy a BR Provincial 'Sprinter' Class 156: https://realtrackmodels.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_70&product_id=155 with sound! Lol

Great question.  Simple answer: Space!!  Oh to have the room for the ideas in my head….

But, accepting that the question is for my existing layout, I would have an animated funfair - rollercoaster, waterslide, wurlitzers, big wheel, dodgems…… I would change my plan for one end of the railway to have that!!

 Looking forward to other ideas.

Just off to buy a tree…..

Similar to Michael's answer…………………………. a large railway room with a bungalow attached to it  ;-)

Oh I do love all the fairground stuff!
I thought most people on here would have something they’d love to buy. Surprised me how few people commented! Was worth a punt!

I'd buy a ticket to Petermac's then , to help him operate Granby Junction ! Other than that I would quite like another loco (to go with the one I bought in Canada) plus a full rake of coaches so I can run my very own Rocky mountaineer. Believe me you would need to have won the lottery to be able to afford a full rake of the model coaches and locos from the RM  company, No DCC  lights or sound but still ruddy dear !  Soon as things calm down towards the end of the year I must start a thread and put up some photos
Cheers

A complete set of Fast Tracks point blade/frog jigs and switch/turnout templates in On30. Might see some change out of  $4k.

A complete HST fitted out internally Like the royal train, in 304.8mm scale… plus working Driver and staff…

Oh, you mean for the layout?

I'd have all my EM gauge points made for me, plastic chairs on wooden sleepers. There will be about 50…. eventually….

Now I've finally started a model railway…I've inherited another…

Hi Chris.   A good question! Simples! I would purchase a “ Man Cave “ within a house, then the World would be my Lobster. One thing though, I don’t know what I would use it for :mutley:mutley:mutleyexcept maybe a scale model of the
Bricklayers Arms Goods Depot. That was just off the Old Kent Road in south east London.  Best wishes Kevin

I hear the old London Transport HQ at 55 Broadway is up for sale so I'd have that to house my new layout.

£160 million apparently…………..

Hi Barry.  Thank you for your reply. When I was working, they called 55, Broadway “ the ivory tower “. With London Transport ( TFL ) moving out it has become a White Elephant .  Best wishes Kevin
