Thumb and forefinger weakness
Hi All. I know, you have heard it all before. But after five weeks Hospital stay I seem much worse than before being admitted. And I have to get my finger ( and thumb) out , as I have no strength in my right hand, even if I wanted to I cannot open a clothes peg, an essential tool for cereal box construction. My new scratch building aim. As for negotiating the stairs to reach the Railway Room without help. Everyone at the physiotherapy department know that I need help to walk, but cannot understand my hand issue because a have some grip , but not enough for my purposes. Any helpful suggestions please? Best wishes Kevin

The only suggestion anyone on this forum should be making is to seek professional medical help.
As well-wishing as we all are here, our opinion is meaningless and dangerous, as only the medical experts who know your detailed medical history and circumstances can possible help you.
Please telephone your given contacts and explain your concerns and take it from there.
All the very best,
Bill

I'm very sorry you feel frustrated with your ailments, particularly after a long spell laid up in hospital, but it is imperative that you seek only proper qualified medical advice.
If you are unsure how to proceed, please speak to your GP and explain your concerns and current lack of mobility.
Regrettably, the forum can and should only offer friendly support on this one and advice such as I have given.
Any change to your circumstances or fresh symptoms which cause you concern or distress, absolutely MUST be channelled through your GP.
Furthermore, no member here, even if they are medically qualified, should ever give you medical advice without full knowledge of your medical history, current treatment plan and an examination.
Please do the sensible thing and seek professional help. It is only a phone call away. Do it now and save us all further worry about you.
Very best wishes,
Bill

Having watched the UK News today, you'll soon be able to "Ask Alexa" !!! Gawd knows what good that will do but at least Amazon will know where to send the drone …………………….
As Bill said, just sit and twiddle your thumbs. I wonder, have they done a scan of your hand ?

My thinking on the subject of physical exercise is that my body has to last a long time and, like a car engine, if I over rev it, sooner or later, something's going to break …………………………. :cool wink
When you see what fish do in water, you'd never go near it. Grape juice on the other hand, is fruit and counts for 1 or you "5 a day". If I was taught maths properly, 1 x 5 = 5 so I need to drink 5 glasses a day or, with all the fruit floating on a Pimm's No 1, a single glass covers my daily requirement ………………………. :cheers
