M.I.A

Hi peeps, you may have noticed our Kevin has been M.I.A for the past couple of weeks ? Well he's still with us but has been, and still is tucked up in hospital.

I spoke to the hospital again today and  the lovely lady I spoke to said he's still not up to chasing the nurses around just yet, but they are encouraging him

  :cool wink

I wasn't going to post in open forum but I know some of you have raised concerns privately, and as we still don't have a release date, thought it time to update everyone. I've passed on our good wishes and hopes of a speedy recovery to Kevin and am just posting off a couple of books to help keep him occupied  (no Peter NOT the ones with the saucy pictures in  :It's a no no )

I'll update here if and when I get any further news

Cheers

Matt

Thanks for the update Matt.  I must admit I was only wondering if something had happened.  Glad he is on the mend and being looked after.

Thanks for the update Matt.
Don't think Kevin has wifi in hospital & presumably no laptop so he can't keep us on our toes answering his questions..

Thanks Matt. Great to know he's ok. I bet he's asking the nurses plenty of questions.

Yes its good to hear that he is being well looked after and thus should be back with us soon.

Kevin knows that he has a lot to learn about DCC and some of its intricate workings but from the time I spent with him during my visit, it was obvious that he will keep worrying at something until he gets it right and is determined to get his layout running as well as he can.  His wire-in-tube point control, the way his baseboards are constructed (to give integral backscenes) and his ability to adapt overseas scenic products (Noch tunnel mouths) to a UK layout certainly suggest that he will succeed.

I'd be surprised if they know how to use a static grass applicator!

Spoke to Kevin on the phone today. He apologised for disappearing but his visit to hospital was unexpected and he thought he would only be in a couple of days, He is still in with no idea of when he will be home but is looking forward to again joining us when he can. (His consultant hasn't yet told him what if any action they are going to take)
His books arrived today, great service by a much maligned royal mail, so he has something to occupy him for the next few days.

If anyone wants details to send him a card or something else to keep him occupied feel free to PM me and I'll let you have the details

Cheers

Matt
