Hi.

I have a photo backscene to add to Highclere in the near future. I picked it up from ebay and it is a series of A3 prints. The trouble is I have been putting it off for ages now as I am a bit scared on messing it up. Has anyone got any hints and tips on how to stick a paper backscene on?

Thank you.

Artists fixative works well you spray it on either the backscene or wall and its not an instant grab it allows for positional movement

i just use old fashioned wall paper paste, then if you want them off later just wet
and peel, leave to dry and re-use.

Without doubt, the best way to go is to use wallpaper paste. Make sure you paste the backscene well and allow it to soak up the paste for a few seconds, then apply it just like you would apply wallpaper (I even use my wallpaper brush to smooth it out). Like wallpaper, you can slide the backscene slightly to accurately line up with the last one, but also like wallpaper be careful not to stretch the paper or it will never match.
