Penistone was the former junction where the Woodhead and Huddersfield lines diverged. The station buildings of the former survive in part and are used as business units. The former platforms and formation of the Woodhead route are fenced off and becoming well populated with trees. I have further photos (although the platform facing ones aren't brilliant because of the trees) including some detail shots of windows, chimneys etc and also of the canopy on the Huddersfield platform.
