These are most useful. Typical of several old LNWR stations.

Those buffer stops in Picture 1 look rather well built indeed...

There is a station entrance and coach dropping off point beyond so it's safety first. That platform doesn't seem to get much use as far as I could see. Interestingly the main aspect semaphore would appear to be redundant as there is no longer a route ahead and the calling on arm would control the engine release.
