Aberdare High Level was on the original Vale of Neath line that was taken over by the GWR. This building was restored in the not too distant past but has been abandoned again. It was replaced by a new station (platform with bus shelter) 100 yards or so away.

Isn't it a pity that the local youth have nothing better to do bar spray painting graffiti everywhere… Very nice looking building and it is a shame that the restoration and up keep isn't ongoing.

Cheers, Gary.

Excellent photo,s David.
Lovely old building going to pot.
I suppose looking at the vandal,s handywork a bus shelter was even taking a risk?

A disease of our time Gary, unfortunately encouraged by liberal attitudes to punishment by the English Courts.

What a layout I could build in there, all I'd need is a bed at one end then there'd be no stopping me !

Thanks again David, wonderful photography.
