I recently imported some manual signal/point levers from America to the U.K.  Worked out about £6 per item but much better looking than those thin levers sold by Gem, and not as expensive as the etched brass offerings on the UK market.  Nice product which is moulded  in  plastic and comes complete with tubing and wire.  These definately deserve a wider audience.  Link below:

Hi Terry            I went on to the net to ask about manual operation of signals and points, to be told" it can't be done", because you break the circuit. But that is my idea, well if it works, you isolate the running rails breaking distance before the danger signal, then throw the points or what ever you want, clear the signal, the train proceeds (Piece of cake) I do watch "You tube" and the amount of layouts that I have seen where an express train goes merrily sailing by a stop signal, as if it was just another telegraph pole, not in my world, S P A D S are out.                                        Passed Driver

That;s always the risk with cottage industries Terry.  They usually produce excellent stuff - usually from practical experience - but are just kitchen table operations ………………..

I have a box load of Hump Yard bits for evaluation purposes and the quality really is particularly good. Just enough for a wee plank in fact, so not at all wasted.
