Use of Christmas tree lights for modelling

Using LED christmas tree lights being colour or white with use of 240v mains power transformer supplying 12v out put to string of bulbs, If you have use flickering or flashing lamps If to brilliant make use of 250v mains rotary power reduce  switch,  Or use of 12v rotary power switch
 
  Use in model buildings,  Station platform lighting  Buffer stop lights Yard lights and Signals lighting

 Place string of lights under base board pull chosen colour through as needed

 Just a thought could this system used

I've been thinking that way myself. I have a couple of sets of old LED lights in a useful bits box.

Wait until after christmas and they get sold off very cheaply, I have a load of them that I have got over the last few years for use on the layout.
