What on Gods Earth is a kind of signal box is that? It's a factory with a signal box as a roof ! - could someone explain ?

I'm sure someone will. To find two such large signal boxes in one location certainly suggests the LNWR were out to make a statement. I know that the track layout at Rhyl was much more complex once, back in the days when seaside towns were the places to go. The surviving platforms at Rhyl are impressively long as well.

If Severn Bridge Junction is anything to go by they probably do (did?). It would be interesting to know if the lever frame etc were still in place. I suppose it might have been a two man box on busy summer saturdays.

The local model railway society needs to take it over as their club rooms and restore it.
