Made from cardboard box and brick paper and 2 spare window frames and a bit of spare roofing sheet. N gauge.

Oh dear, I simply wouldn't buy any kit with such appauling brickwork rendition and all in headers! The brick bond depicted simply would not work and the scale of all elements look decidedly inconsistent.

Well done with your superior model Gray.

Bill

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Hi thanks for the nice comments, it only takes a bit of patience and thinking to come up with something that looks ok.

At this scale, the type of bond is not that noticeable. The depth (cut) of the mortar between courses needs looking at. When I was a brickie 60 years ago 1/8"-1/4" was about the limit (the latter for a rain cut).. Now in the UK N scale is 1/148. That's 0.021 mm-0.042 mm. That's why paper is quite acceptable.in N, HO, and OO. Most railway brickwork was flat-surfaced cement anyway. Paper is 100% acceptable. Wood lapping is the same.
