Scratch built model loco's from card

SAR card model locos 015.JPG Good day all members, a long time since I posted on the club forum, I built card model trams for a time 4 to 5 years ago and some of them are still in the Trams section of the forum. In Dec 2022 I began a scratch build in 1:38 scale of a South African Railway Class 15F loco from card.
The actual loco's were mixed traffic engines, 255 being built from 1938 to 1948 by British and German factories, their weight in full working order was approx 175 tons and they were of the Mountain class 4-8-2 wheel arrangement. They were withdrawn from service at the end of steam traction in SA in 1991.
The model depicted is made from card, mainly 160 gsm but a few heavier grades have been used ie in the chassis. The scale is aproxx 1:38 and the model is painteg by brush from Dala hobby paint, build time approx 200 hours. I enclose a pic of the model and in future will post a few pics of the 6 others I have built.
Regards
Owen Mulrooney

Great looking model Owen, and 200 hours to build you must have a lot of patience  :thumbs3:
