Here is a link to painting plaster cast retaining walls ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPfR9JD4Zkk

I used this method on my layout Jacks Corner/Continuous Loop - http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=9886&forum_id=21&highlight=continuous+loop

Now that's a good idea, tar mate.
Will end up having some 7 odd meters of retaining walls to put in so will definitely come in handy….
And No not in the garden, on the layout….:mrgreen:

Hi Gary,

This method could be utilised for the castings that townstreet use for their buildings as well I think.

I am due to have a number of their buildings delivered tomorrow. They come with recommended painting methods etc. I'll see what they recommend but the methods used in these links made it look relatively straight forward to achieve quality results.

I'll let you know what they recommend

Cheers

Toto

G'day Tom,

If the Townstreet models are plaster they should take up the acryllic paint well. If the models are plastic based, you may have to look at another alternative to painting them. Good luck with the painting project !

Cheers, Gary.
