For Sale,

LNER liveried, ex GNSR Vacuum Cleaner Wagon. Scratch built with the aid of a Silhouette Cutter. £85 posted to UK.

If you think that this is wrong era for you, if you model BR, then you may be surprised to learn that the photo that I used to create this was taken in the 1950’s and included in the photo was a Blood and Custard liveried Gresley coach. While researching many of my scratch builds I have been surprised how many items of rolling stock lasted into the 1960’s still in pre 1937 liveries especially those assigned to engineering fleets.

This was entered into the GOG Modelling competition at Telford this year and although this item didn't take a prize I won 2nd and 3rd places for other items of rolling stock that I entered.

I like that a lot Rob.
If it didn't win a prize the rest must have been really superb.
Have you photos of your other items that we can see ?

He has a rolling stock workbench thread, so yes.
This is an excellent model, and of a thing I did not know existed prior to seeing this thread.

Thanks Gent's, yes I will put photo's of the prize winner's on my scratchbuilding thread (albeit they were not all scratchbuilt).
Hi John,

I was in the same boat as you when I first saw the photo that I worked off in Volume 3 of LNER Wagons by Peter Tatlow but apparently they were used for vacuuming out carriages. As I put in the advert, this one was quite long lived,  the wagon that it sits on was moved to engineers stock pre grouping.

It was pictured along alongside a blood and custard Gresley coach at Kittybrewster in 1953 and since I have other pictures of NBR wagons in LNER livery lasting into the mid 1960's, the sky is the limit as far as fitting it into a layout is concerned.
