scratch building M&SWJ Rly 0-4-4
Hi AllHelp required
I'm scratch building/bitzer a M&SWJRly 0-4-4 I 'm on the hunt for a 5' w.b. bogie to go on the rear of this locomotive bacically a block of metal with 2 holes at 20mm axle centers.

The tubing will be hot glued into a styled plasticard box the bogie will carry a coupling that will be fixed once the bogie has been constructed all very simple stuff just like making the parts for a construction kit, I can't wait to start. :thud

Use brass sheet, not styrene, it will warp.
The method described by Rob Evans uses a Bachmann 4-4-0 Pilot truck, rewheeled. This a readily available spare over here, $8.80 from Bachmann in PA. Have you looked at similar in the UK - City for example? Or a Dean single.

On a hunch I checked out my brass etch of a SR Wainright H class 0-4-4T, ex SECR. The bogie has 20mm centers. Horny did this model. If you cannot find one I can scan the etch and or send the measurements.
