Hadn't really looked at the video of the week before but have just spent an hour or so viewing the archives.

Most enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing these.

That's a really great selection Martin, enjoyed looking at those. There is also a great  deal of modelling information in them that may come in handy in the future.

Exactly what I was going to say Bob.  Great paintings in their own right but, for modelling purposes, fantastic. :thumbs:thumbs

Thanks Martin for the latest video  it contained an interesting filming technique similar to that take at footy matches  but thats done by wires which was clearly not the case - taken from a radio controlled model aircraft maybe?

Gosh, what jolly good fun that was. What with the "Pears Soap" children, the fact that Frist Class passengers always travel alone and it seems "Daddy" knows all the answers, I'd like to travel on a diesel train again please ………………..:cheers

There's an irony -  end of the first video or 11 seconds into the second  - a porter pulling a cart full of parcels - one clearly marked AIRFIX  -

That is certainly different - very enjoyable but parts of it made me think of toys.

I probably will too - when I get a few hours spare to download it !!  Whilst my connection is somewhat better than Novice's, it's still a pain for You Tube stuff.  :twisted::twisted:

Watched the first 4 minutes last night and it looked good.  I'll try again today …………….

Thank you Martin, a very enjoyable film, full of period detail and very informative.  Pity about the miserable bunch of so and so's who appear in this film, not one smile from any of them.  As for the shot of the Stationmaster lighting his cigarette whilst completely surrounded by paper, 'elf and safety' eat your heart out!

More like this please!

Finally managed to watch it - fantastic.  Thanks Martin. :thumbs

In those days, you had "service" - a readily available Station Master, porters to help and a Red Star parcel service that worked …………..

One could ask "where and when did we go wrong ? "
