There are plenty of 'How to build a locomotive' videos on You Tube, but this one appeals to me greatly. The tradesmen are given centre stage, and I particularly like the hugely moustachioed foundry smith!

I was quite surprised, I was expecting OO gauge, but I really enjoyed it.
