London Underground's two operational historic trains were running trips on the Metropolitan line today as part of Amersham Heritage Day. I had rides on both, a wonderful experience, especially after last year when trips were cancelled due to both trains failing. Here are a couple of videos of each train, which I thought may be of interest.

Very nice, Paul. I wish I could be over there for some of these events.

London Transport electrics always had such distinctive sounds. I had many a trip in 1938 tube stock on the Bakerloo in my childhood, and CO/CP stock on the surface lines.

I must admit Paul, when watching the second video, I thought "that's a strange noise for an electric loco to make!", then into sight came the whistler 20 clagged on to the end of the train!

Great movies, thanks.
