What's your preferred gauge that you are modelling in. Barchester is 00 gauge, probably the most popular combination in the UK.

OO for me as well Bob, although my local club are exclusively 4mm P4 (18.83mm wide track) and O gauge finescale.

OO for me, would of gone n gauge but as the detail is small my eyes would not see anything so its 00.

00 for me also. It just seems to be about right with realistic detail yet small enough to have a good layout.

Correct me if im wrong but i was led to belive there is not alot in it regards HO and OO, size i mean. I think you can tell the difference but can you not mix together and it would be ok?.

I'm HO and OO [separately]

Phil  - regarding mixing the two, what looks ok to some will not look ok to others.
HO figures go well on photos of OO layouts if used in the background. They do look a tad small alongside true OO scale vehicles and doorways etc, and alongside OO figures.  As for rollingstock, I haven't mixed the two, but I suspect the difference would be noticeable, although, that said, all my HO stuff is US outline, and they're big anyway, and certainly not dwarfed by OO stuff.

Bob - how do these polls now work?  On the old forums (x3    ) there was a "vote"button (if I remember correctly  ) and then an opportunity to make a comment.  It seems to have changed.

I think it's the same Tim. If you haven't already voted then there is a 'Vote' button and then it asks you if you want to look at the result. When you click on this you get to add your post. If you have already voted then you see the results only, you can't vote twice. If it's somehow different for you then I can put a test poll up and we can see.

I voted HO as most of my stuff is HO although OO would not be far behind.
