Blimey memory lane again. I can recall myself and brother hiding behind the sofa when the darlicks came on .

Well we did it back then before we realised what they really where, someone inside it.

This should be interesting.  I liked Jon Pertwee best but thought Tom Baker was good too.   However David Tenant really beats them all.  It will be a hard act to follow.

Christopher Eccleston for me - just ahead of David Tennant. They and the writers have taken it to a higher level. Billie Piper [Rose] was responsible for that too.
 I still remember William Hartnell.

I've actually missed out on Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant - Dr. Who hasn't made it over the pond

It's the character I'm voting for and not necessarily the best Doctor Who series or writing.

Tim, you are only a short hop from the BBC - us being down under & thus a longer hop across more ponds, our ABC did well in getting all of the Dr Who episodes - even upto & including David Tennant.

Last couple of years,  the ABC here played all episodes from no 1- 4 nights a week.

I think that I agree, but not in a Sean Connery sense.  "A shpy?  Yesh!" I have just found a few Ian Fleming Bond books at the church thrift shop, and started reading Casino Royale last weekend.  Brilliant, and better than any movie!
