Hi Benllben,
At the moment I am really busy and getting a couple of hours per week to work on my layout is about all I can manage.
Every now and then I'm lucky enough to spend an afternoon of 4 or 5 hours on the layout but haven't done that for a couple of months.

If all goes well I spend about an hour a day. The kettle goes on at 4.00 pm, and, mug of tea in hand, I descend to the basement until 5.00.  Sometimes I do nothing except sip tea and "test."

I am extremely lucky to work as a musician (evenings only) and after i've cut wood for the fire, fed the horses, donkey, pig, goats, chickens, and rabbit still have time for at least six hours a day modelling. If not modelling i go out researching the history of old railway lines.
I am very fortunate that my dear wife  takes care of all the car maintenance, decorating, gardening, roof tiling etc that needs to be done (she says its enough reward for me to allow her to play with my trains in the evening!

There wasn't a choice for zero so I chose 'less than an hour'. Pathetic isn't it?

Too much time spent keeping the Forum in order, Bob :?   Now that Jeff and Perry are helping to spread the load hopefully that will improve.

Didn't you say that you had a new project up your sleeve :?:

I've put myself down for 1 to 2 hours, because I'm not sure that "thinking time" counts. (Moira says that modelling and Barchester are all I ever think about).
If I added forum time, I could probably treble my vote :!:

I know it doesn't take much to do it, but I'm confused - again!

Is this per day or per week? Both periods are mentioned at the top.

I reckon I spend about a couple of hours a day actually modelling on workdays. It would be more but I spend way too much time on this forum!

If I have some spare time on one (or more   ) of my days off, then I probably put in a few more hours there too.

So, 6-days per working week x 2 hours per day = 12 hours, plus perhaps 2 x 4 hours sessions on my days off; maybe a total 20 hours a week or so.

Well, scratchbuilt goods sheds and revolving fiddle yards don't build themselves, you know.

I am still waiting to get out to the modeling stores in Burlington to add to what I brought from England 30 years ago. The interest was just revised 5 months ago when I met Bob
