Maybe not exactly a platform fitting but it isn't part of the station buildings as such. It has a cast iron frame, which was cast a few hundred yards away at the Vulcan Iron Works (a subsidiary of McKenzie & Holland of signalling fame). It is covered in majolica tiles made by Maw & Co of Broseley (but originally a Worcester firm).
Well worth going to see if you are in the area. Modelling the artwork on the tiles could be a challenge but no doubt Allan Downes will have a few tricks of the trade!
