I like this site.  I had to chuckle when I read the title of one of his layouts, "Llaffan - a backward place."  It reminded me of a similar, fictional place created by Dylan Thomas:  Llareggub :!:  :!:  :!:

Thanks for the kind comments guys, nice to know what people think of the site.
I joined up today so I suppose my layouts should feature in "members layouts" now! LOL.
I will post some stuff about myself and my modeling soon, until then I will take a back seat and get the feel of the place first.
Look forward to interacting with you guys soon.

Hope I've posted this in the right place!

I'm looking for help and constructive critisisim.

Just to let you all know that I have done a revamp on my web pages.
http://www.frankcollins.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

On the "new" default home page you will have a choice wether to go to my "New" 2009 pages or the "Old" 2008 pages.

Have a look at my new 2009 pages if you can spare the time and let me know what you think.
If you don't want your thoughts made public then why not drop me a PM or email.

I've decided not to mix my prototype photo albums with the modelling pages and will write new seperate  pages for those.

I thank you for your time looking.

Hi Frank

just had a look at the new pages looking good.

A couple of things i noticed one was your new 2009 pages are wider than your home and 2008 pages people with smaller monitors will need to side scroll.

I assume you are seeing that your webring advert label is positioned wrong and covering text and hypertext links.

This is a personal thing but have you tried a differant background colour for the site overall a light biege or something pastel it may be less bright than white.

cheers Brian

Hi Brian and thanks for the feed back.
TBH Everything looks OK this end both with IE6 and Firefox V3

I take on board what you say about scrolling but I'm affraid it's down to the software I'm using to create the pages.
I tried various backgrounds before and found that I didn't like them myself but, as you say it's a personal thing.

OK I'm going to get rid of the one webring banner to see what happens.
Talk soon

Frank, I had a look & like Brian, had to scroll but then I reduced the overall to 75% & it fits OK then on my 17" screen using IE7. Yes, I noticed that some Icons are covered by counters, etc.

Had another look tonight Frank and when I went to the 2009 section, clicked on 'My Layour Pen-Y-Bont I noticed that the Construction link is working but not the 'Buildings' one. Although I feel pretty sure it was working last night.

Robert,

The BUILDINGS link is not active yet, I still have to write the page for that.

I hope to have something up in a few days.
