Here's a link to a terrific German-built modular layout in US outline.

 The modules were built by many different people but it blends beautifully. There could well be some useful ideas for our own modular layout.

That is very good and something we must remember is to get a group photo of us all!

Some venue they have as well - our first one will be a tad smaller than that.

You would need one of the NEC halls to get that lot in.
Noticed this though and I don't think I have seen such a simple idea before for turning locos in your fiddle yard. Start at the first picture and scroll down :

I think my German is still okish, 55 modules put together i think it is and boy thats some builds by the guys. Mindue they aint got anything on ours yet, i mean we take the exhibition by storm :thumbs
