Hi Everyone,

Here’s a bit of distraction for you, something very unusual if not unique.

I’ve been creating steam sound projects for some narrow gauge models of locos on the oldest preserved railway in the world, the Talyllyn Railway, including the oldest working steam loco, No2 Dolgoch, built in the 1870s I believe.

For Thomas the Tank Engine fans, these are the real locos on which the fictional narrow gauge locos were based.

Here’s the model Dolgoch (in original green livery)

I fitted a 12 x 15mm ZIMO ‘sugar cube’ speaker between the frames, an a ZIMO MX648 in the water tank

And here’s the real thing with some of his friends, celebrating 60th year of preservation.

No dancing in the aisles, please!

Kind regards,

Paul.
