Hi all,
Just an opener for now, i have just nearly finished the total blitz/clean out of the garage with the help of my wife, its her intention that i really get back into railway modeling, to help my mind on my health problems, also my mental state, so, here we go with the first short note on what has transpired so far.
Having taken delivery of a skip at £110.00, inc vat @20%, we set about getting every bit of rubbish and things we had  forgotten we had accrued over the years, and much dust etc etc as well ; the end result will be a space around 14 ft x 18 ft, wood to suit in length ( will stand at 42 inches tall for my given height!!:) ) amount will be next on the list then lighting batons, but, have my first 25 yards of 009 track safely put away, but will need an other 25 yard box from E-Hattons, BUT!!, no points for now till the over all plan is realized, so, many Peco templates will be copied and actively used to get the way i want it to go.
Well guys, that`s all for the moment, much more to follow as i get nearer to the big kick off, but, i will start a new topic and go from their and i think it will be a very long drawn out affair, hope i won`t bore any of you to much:lol:, so bye for the moment, carpet laying tomorrow in said garage, must have it cosey!!!!!;-)……………
My very best regards to all………Tom…….:);-)

Hi Tom,

Sounds like you have thrown yourself into it and it's always good to have SWMBO's approval and help. I'll look forward to seeing how you develop things so post some pictures as you go if you can to give an idea as to how it's all coming on.

Cheers for now and best of luck with the build.

14x18 feet? 009? Wow,that'll be a monster. Good luck with the project mate. Know where you're coming from re. health as I've had to ease off due to back problems.

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies, when you get to an age!, you think that this is the last big layout, this is the one for me so, i intend it to be very intensive re scenery, cameos plus, a lot of buildings and stock items which i can design and build from scratch myself, so, i now have an appointment with the carpeting of said garage :lol:………..
My grateful thanks and best regards to all……..Tom……:);-)

Hello Tom,

That's what I can say is a great idea for the mental health issues.
I for one can well recommend the route, just temper it with a realistic thought process.
My goal was a build in 6 months, well that was 18 months ago and the garage part conversion is well under way now, trouble is work keeps getting in the way.
Looking forward to watching your progress, like everyone else.
