Unfortunately, I couldn't see reference to Richard Trevithick's Engine, but a Google search delivers the goods, such as: Richard Trevithick’s steam locomotive | Museum Wales

David, I remember driving down the Rhondda from the Brecon Beacons with my Dad in the 50's and what a sight it was. 

Much cleaner nowadays but I'm sure it was a sad time indeed when the world famous Welsh "steam coal" and equally celebrated Welsh steel hit the buffers.

It tore the heart out of those valley communities.   :sad:
