Hi All,I have a lovely little Farish Class 20 Diesel, BR Blue weathered, pre-owned but in top condition. It came with a yellow snow plough attachment on one end of the chassis and some spares in the box. The snow plough fitted into the bogie end with two push/squeeze retaining clips (sorry for the description but don't know the correct terminology) and I removed it easily after detaching the loco body from the chassis. In the spares I was given there is the NEM push type coupling (no spring required) but there is no plastic coupling pocket for it to push into. There is one already in place on the other bogie and it seems my DMU Class 108 also has these fitted, also a Graham Farish.

I just cannot find such a replacement coupling pocket anywhere on the internet so perhaps they are called something else so I'm reaching out to you guys for any correction in the terminology for these coupling parts of where I can try and get a few for spares. Below are some photos to try and give you all a better idea on what I'm wittering on about  ;-)

The other bogie with a coupling pocket clicked into place, ready to receive a NEM standard coupling

Thanks guys and girls for any help to find these.

No idea on a replacement, apart from keeping your Eye out for a scrap unit with them on, at swapmeets or bargain bins at shows? How about taking one off of one end of your Dmu to complete the class 20 ?
Good luck with the hunt !

Cheers

Hi
I would give bachmann spares a call, they will be the only people with any chance of supplying the non standard NEM coupling pocket they used on their Class 20 and 108, failing that you could try gluing one of the Dapol NEM pockets in place but I suspect there will not be enough room for one of those.

Thanks Paul and Matt - I spoke to Hattons first but no joy so then Bachmanns spares. You are correct Paul and Bachmanns are indeed the only suppliers of these. 50p each so got a few coming just in case.
