I have moved your post here Boilermaker, bit more appropriate I thought.

I bought the Model Builder last year and although haven't fully utilised its potential it is a great piece of software.  I did a brief review on one of the past forums, which got lost in the crash (how many times have I heard that this week :?:  :wink: )  I also told the story of how the first CD-ROM to be sent was completely blank.  A brief email and the service was superb.  Not only did they "over-night" me a replacement CD but threw in an LED welding light kit as well.

For a new, young company I think they are great news for the modelling world :!:

I have the Brickyard CD & it  covers basically any scale, even odd ones that you may like such as 1 in 55   or 1 in 99 with 20 different types of brick & stone, good value I thought.

sounds like its worth a go. not sure though (with all due respect) if it may be too american for british outline .what do you think?

Sadly I tend to agree with you, Reg.  Textures are superb and can be adapted, but the general building designs…  very USA.  That suits me, but not everyone

Brickwork & stones are pretty much the same the world over.
 This software has some basic scales that you can select but has the ability to create any scale so if you think a particular stoeworks looks to big for 00 1:76, then change it.
 I did with one lot & took it 1:95 & it looks great.

regarding brickwork textures ,i think it was perry who suggested that paper brick sheets could be improved by pressing on to a sheet of rough sandpaper ,i have not tried it but will do next opportunity

The Brickyard printed papers of bricks & stone with the 20 variances & catering  for scale can also be modified by printing a sheet, scan it as a JPG file then editing the JPG & alter colour, etc  to get more variations .

Most printers available now can not only copy but scan in to JPG or PDF, etc versions.
