Here's a neat little piece of software for printing out your own graph paper to whatever configuration you want. Ideal for all you layout planners out there. When you get to the Pricelessware site just scroll down the page. A good 'un folks.

While browsing I came across this site:

http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/brick/

Basically it will download a pdf for you to print-out an A4 sheet of brick outline to your scale. You can use your favourite photoediting programme to put in background colour etc. For 4 mm I set the horizontal lines per cm at 10 and the vertical per cm at 3 to approximate brickwork of 3" by 9" (ie a cm = 30"). If you work on the colours you can change the mortar/line colouring. I used 0.5 for the line size. It seems very useful in modelling terms but I haven't figured out how yet, and haven't had time to experiment further. You can resize it, depending on your chosen scale, and also change the proportions of vertical to horizontal to represent stone or blockwork. I presume it is intended for people designing their own real life buildings but maybe someone on the forum will be able to work out how/if we can use it.
