I came across this whilst snurfin the web, I have done a site search and it doesn't seem to be here yet, so this is by way of a 'heads up' that at this link there is a free track planning software issued.  [Just to the left of the 'Kato' logo]

I have not tried it as I'm happy with XrtkCad.

I have downloaded that and had a look Doug and it seems quite sophisticated. Also helps with baseboards and other things. Another for the Equipment Index.
