Another online event for your diaries.

This free online event is intended to represent the types of activity that would take place if we had safe access to the Missenden Abbey facilities. Except for the bar.
The details of the online event are being finalised and most of the content is ready for your consumption over the weekend.Starting time will be 10:00hrs on each of the two days, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October]
Access to the event will be via this page on the Missenden Abbey Railway Modellers' website.
The event is free to everybody, so if you have friends, colleagues or fellow club or society members who you think might enjoy a visit, please feel free to point them in the direction of the website.
MODELLING ROOMSThe content available will be organised into 'Rooms' which will contain material associated with the normal topics covered in the equivalent room at the Abbey. We have included rooms that would normally be occupied during a Spring weekend as well as the usual Autumn ones.

There will be a Zoom meeting, kindly hosted by our tutor Jerry Clifford , that will be a question and answer session. Jerry is an established railway modeller and is a tutor at Missenden in the kit construction room, specialising in the smaller scales.
We would like to have the questions for JERRY CLIFFORD submitted ahead of time to give Jerry some preparation time. Please submit your questions to Jerry using this form link, including your email address which, in this instance, we will only use to contact you if we need clarification regarding your question. It will not be used or stored for any other purpose.

- Kit Building Question and Answer Session by Jerry Clifford - 15:00hrs Saturday 17th October
- Soldering Surface Mount Components by John Gowers - 11:00hrs Sunday 18th October
- Weathering a Steam Locomotive by Mick Bonwick - 13:00hrs Sunday 18th October
You will also need to have a Zoom account (free to obtain if you don't already have one) and sign into it in order to participate in the meeting.

I was full of enthusiasm for Zoom seminars, particularly the loco weathering……set it up in the calendar for 1 pm then came crashing down to earth when I remembered the 8 hour time difference. 5 am is a bit too early!:shock:

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)
