Great for electrical components

Evening All

I've been using this company www.spiratronics.com quite a bit recently. They are U.K. based and have one of those websites it is difficult to come away from without a small order being placed for a couple of items. Like it says in the heading they only sell electrical components but have a very good range of things for the railway modeller. They are, in my opinion, very reasonably priced and do offer a very good service.

I have no links with the company other than being a very satisfied customer.

I've found them quite good, but last year they twice sent me the wrong wire on two different orders which they put down to "picking errors".

To be fair they did then send the correct wire at no additional cost, but it was a bit annoying.

The other thing to bear in mind is that they now trade via eBay and although not everything that is available via their own website appears in their 'eBay shop' it's sometimes cheaper via eBay.

Think it's something to do with the way the postage is calculated and how many items you want.

Had a look,

Seems quite a good site. One for the future. I have been using RS components myself and find them good and quite well priced.

On one occasion items that were claimed as being in stock have turned out not to be and you end up being put on back order. But apart from that, they are fine with a prompt delivery service.

It's good to shop about though so I'll keep the above in mind for comparison at least.

Cheers
