Just a line or two to explain what this thread is all about.

Thomas started this excellent thread for you to post your photos of model railway layouts.

The photograph MUST be yours - i.e. you must have taken it.

The layout can be anywhere or belong to anyone - seen at shows, taken in friends houses etc. etc.  It needn't be your work but the photo must be.

If you want to make any comments about any of the photos etc. please DO NOT do it on the thread.  Use the PM system or open a new thread elsewhere.

The thread should be just a collection of photographs - with, if anything at all, just a note to say what the photo is.

Thomas's idea was that he could just sit and scroll through photos without having to read anything at all.

I think it's a great idea and I'm sure others will think the same.

I will now move those 2 or 3 written posts to this thread so we can start the way we mean to continue.

We can't move individual posts Peter so I have deleted all the text postings as there was nothing there of real importance and the thread now is exactly what Thomas wanted.

…there's always one, isn't there? Now, Stubbs, have you washed behind your ears and have you got a clean hankie in your pocket? …you know what will happen if you have holes in your socks, don't you? You'll be run over by a bus and at the hospital the nurses will laugh at you……

AAaagh! So did I! So do I…….

A warning to anyone thinking of marrying a nurse…..they invented the phrase 'man-flu' and the sneery look that goes with it, and nothing short of a compound fracture gets more than a sniff of disdain…..they wash things a lot and use gallons of smelly disinfectant…they have a pathological dislike of lavatory seats being left up…and they turn into Hattie Jaques as they get older…

Yes, dear, just coming, just mailing Stubby about railways…..

….Yes, dear, that Stubby…whats that?

….I don't know if he's got a clean hankie today…..

….No, I don't suppose he's bad enough to wipe his paint brushes on his trousers…..

..yes, yes, I'm sure he's got his own tea-strainer for seiving ballast…….

See what I mean, ring any bells?

Mine's a home palliative care nurse.  If you see her walking up your driveway . . . .
