Some interesting shots there, Reg and more ideas gleaned.

Not sure about the hedges on that last photo though, can't see their purpose on a steep, animal-less embankment. A "how not to" perhaps :question:question

Thanks for taking the time to post both these and the members shot. Never realised that Chris N had "normal sized" eyes, thought his mug shot on the forum was due to over use and "modelling strain".

I see what you mean about those 'vertical' hedges Jeff. They do look a bit odd.

Plenty of detail in the other pics though

I believe they are to hide the join between two boards of the layout.

Neill is right the hedge is definately to hide the layout join you can see where they have sprikled a little line of ballast across the tracks

I should probably make the point that the last two pictures are of a different layout, which is a steam/diesel transition period layout, whereas the earlier pics and the fiirst picture of this batch are of a Southern region layout. The quality of modelling between the two layouts is quite different - as members have noted.

Great photos Reg - particularly like the PW gang having their tea-break on the first layout.  Wish I had the skill to make mine look like that - here's hoping !!!:roll:
